From Pandemic to Purpose: How Labril Outreach Foundation is Changing Lives Across Africa

NV News

Founded in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Labril Outreach Foundation emerged from a deep concern for the plight of less privileged children and widows in Nigeria. Witnessing the severe hunger and suffering faced by these vulnerable groups, Abiola M Olatunbosun, the foundation’s founder, resolved to make a change.

The Labril Outreach Foundation is dedicated to providing essential support to those in need. Weekly, the foundation distributes food items, such as rice, spaghetti, and noodles, along with fairly used clothes, treatable water, and medication. In addition to these provisions, the foundation equips less privileged children with new school bags, books, writing materials, and uniforms, ensuring they have the resources needed to participate fully in their education.

The foundation’s mission extends beyond immediate relief. It strives to foster a sense of belonging and self-confidence among disadvantaged individuals by assisting them in accessing public schools and integrating into the community. Moreover, Labril Outreach Foundation seeks to empower widows through small-scale business initiatives, including POS machines, local grinding machines, and small deep freezers.

To sustain and expand its efforts, the foundation is actively seeking partnerships and donations from companies and organizations willing to support its cause.
