The organizers of the African Icon Awards have announced Comedian James Aidoko as Chief Host and Mc Dreams as Co-host ahead of her 9th edition of the African Icon Awards.
Project Director Amb. Abraham Lawal revealed this in a statement released to journalists on Friday. He noted that the theme for this year’s event is “The Power of African Youth in Leadership.” The event is scheduled to take place on July 26th, 2024, at Merit House Maitama, Abuja, Nigeria.
The African Icon Awards is an annual event that seeks to encourage, appreciate, and honor young and talented Africans who have excelled in diverse fields.

The statement further announced about 28 individuals set to be honored at the highly anticipated event. The notable awardees include Dr. Kingsley Mike Azonobi, President of Domak Group International, Clement Omiwale, Founder OscarClement Consult, Amb. The African Icon Awards aims to recognize Africans who have distinguished themselves in various facets of life by contributing to the advancement and development of Africa. The awards celebrate men and women from across the continent who have demonstrated exceptional patriotism, excellence, leadership skills, and talents in areas such as civil governance, the entertainment industry, technology, and other fields of endeavor.
