The people’s statesman, Distinguished Senator (Chief) Allwell Heacho Onyesoh, DSSRS, JP, representing the resilient people of Rivers East Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Federal Character and Inter-Governmental Affairs, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of Democracy Day.
In a statement commemorating 25 years of uninterrupted democracy in Nigeria, signed by his Special Adviser on Publicity and Communications, Peter Oriri, Senator Onyesoh noted the giant milestone recorded as a nation due to our enduring democratic values and collective resilience noting that unity and inclusivity is fundamental to our Nation’s growth.
Reflecting on his commitment to the people of Rivers East, Senator Onyesoh expressed gratitude for the continued support and trust he has always received despite the odds. He reaffirmed his quest to ensure that the unique needs and challenges of Rivers East at the federal level is addressed. Under his leadership, numerous developmental projects have been initiated and supported by the Senate, focusing on infrastructural growth, healthcare, education, economic empowerment, and job creation.
