Ado Local Government Council Executive Chairman, Hon. Engr. Oche Sunday Oche, has issued a strong warning against trespassing on government land without permission.
According to a statement issued by Samson Otokpa,
Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman Ado Local Government Council noted that the warning became necessary because of increasing reports of unauthorized encroachments and illegal constructions on council properties that threaten the local government’s infrastructure and environmental goals.
He further reiterated that such activities tends to pitch communities against themselves and thereby pose a threat on the relative peace that we enjoy and ensure to stabilize within the Local Government.
Government-owned land is designated for public use and development projects benefiting the people. Unauthorized activities undermine these plans and violate local regulations. Any individual or entity found trespassing will face the law.
The Chairman urges all residents to respect public spaces and obtain necessary approvals before undertaking any development projects on them. He emphasizes the council’s commitment to responsible land management for sustainable development, ensuring the integrity of public spaces for future generations.
The council will provide land to individuals and corporations following proper procedures.
