In its ongoing mission to support underprivileged communities, the Libril Outreach Foundation has recently provided over 50 students in Suleja, Katsuwa Duste, Niger State, with essential back-to-school items.
Founded in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Libril Outreach Foundation is a non-governmental organization established out of a profound concern for the welfare of less privileged children and widows in Nigeria. Its founder, Abiola M. Olatunbosun, witnessed the hunger and hardships faced by vulnerable groups and felt compelled to initiate change, both within Nigeria and throughout West Africa.
As part of its back-to-school initiative held in September, the Foundation distributed school bags, mathematical sets, writing materials, exercise books, socks, water bottles, Hollandia yogurt, noodles, Capri-Sun drinks, cookies, and more to support these students in their educational journey.
In addition to school supplies, the Foundation provides regular food distributions, including rice, spaghetti, noodles, gently used clothing, potable water, and essential medications, to communities in need. By ensuring that underprivileged children have the basic resources for school, the Foundation aims to help them fully engage in their education.
Beyond immediate aid, the Foundation seeks to inspire a sense of belonging and self-confidence among disadvantaged individuals by helping them access public education and integrate into society.
To sustain and grow its impact, the Foundation is actively pursuing partnerships and donations from organizations interested in supporting its mission.
In recognition of her influential work, Mrs. Abiola Olatunbosun is the official sponsor of the upcoming third edition of the Top 50 Most Industrious Women in Africa. This event, scheduled for November 16 at Sandralia Hotel, Abuja, and themed “African Women in Leadership,” will honor exceptional African women who have made meaningful contributions across various sectors on the continent.
