Otukpo, Benue State – Dr. David Olofu, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Senatorial Aspirant for Benue South Senatorial District, has launched his campaign office headquarters in Otukpo, signaling the start of his bid for the 2027 Senatorial Election.
At the unveiling of the campaign office opposite Saint Francis Primary School, Otukpo, Dr Olofu also constituted and inaugurated his campaign advisory council with sir John Ngbede, a political juggernaut as chairman and Honourable Chris Adaba Abah popularly known as Mad Lion as the Director-General.

In his address, Dr. Olofu emphasized the need for a new direction, promising to deliver a leadership that is sensitive and responsive to the needs and yearning of the people.
“The people want results, positive results in governance that go beyond rhetoric to real impact, visible progress, and meaningful change in their daily lives,” he said.
He highlighted the challenges facing Benue South Senatorial District including insecurity, stalled development, and economic hardship, vowing to prioritize the well-being of the people over politics.
“We will build systems that create opportunities, drive growth, restore security, and deliver tangible development to every community,” he pledged.

Chairman of the David Olofu Campaign Advisory Council, His Excellency, Sir John Ngbede, described Olofu’s campaign as a movement for the betterment of Idomaland, saying the time has come for a change.
The campaign advisory council is made up of , prominent individuals, including Sir John Ngbede, Hon Goday Samuel, Prof David Salifu, and Dr David Olofu himself.
Others were – Chief Patel Ogbu, Dr Steve Onmeje, Hon Hassan Saleh, Barr Jacob Ogwuche, Group Capt Steve Adah, Hon Igbiri Idah, Engr Okpe Onah, Rt Hon Samson Okwu, Prince Idikwu, Hon Abeje Egwa, Ogirh Benjamin, Ijachi Ogwuche, Donald Agida and Dr Adakole Elijah – Secretary.
Stakeholders from the ADC pledged their support for Olofu’s candidacy, signaling a unified front as the party prepares for the upcoming elections.
