Niger Delta ex-agitator, the self-styled General Endurance Amagbein, has condemned in strong terms the gruesome murder of Mr. Goodnews Manash, the CDC chairman of Igbomotoru Community, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

Amagbein, in a statement issued to newsmen in Abuja by his media assistant, Mr. Mightywind Dudafa, expressed deep shock over the incidence which has thrown the family of the deceased and the entire community into mourning.

While condemning the killing which he described as needless, Amagbein said he is pained by the news of the death of the CDC chairman because he was vibrant and committed to the peace and progress of Igbomotoru before his life was terminated during the week by some unscrupulous elements operating under the guise of protecting national assets.

Amagbein, fondly called Adaka Boro the second, lamented that these criminal elements have continued to unleash terror in the community through their agents equipped with arms to do their bidding whenever they desire.

He urged the security agencies to diligently investigate the matter and bring those behind the killing to justice.

Amagbein also enjoined the indigenes of the community to be law-abiding and assist the security forces in their investigations to unravel the gruesome killing.

He said, “The killing of innocent souls of the community by unscrupulous elements under government forces is needless.”

“These same criminal elements have continued to unleash terror in the community through their agents which they have armed with dangerous weapons to do their biddings whenever they desire.”

“We are yet to recover from the outcome of the siege mounted in Igbomotoru leading to the brazen killing of over 50 persons in the community on the 27th of March, 2024, and while this development has left the area volatile with stakeholders confused on what to do, we are greeted with this commando style of killing.”
