The National Assembly New Media Forum (NANMF) on Monday honoured Senator Neda Bernards Imasuen, representing Edo South Senatorial District, in celebration of his birthday, recognizing his dedication to public service and partnership with the media.

The event took place at the National Assembly in Abuja, where members of the Forum presented the lawmaker with a specially crafted recognition card. The gesture, according to NANMF Chairman Clement Nwabuko, was to express appreciation for Senator Imasuen’s consistent support and engagement with the media community.

“There is no better time than your birthday to say thank you for the collaboration and encouragement you’ve shown the New Media Forum,” Nwabuko said while presenting the card.

In his remarks, Senator Imasuen expressed gratitude for the honour, reaffirming his commitment to serving his constituents and the nation with renewed vigour. He emphasized the importance of the media in shaping national development and peace.

The senator also pledged continued collaboration with the media and urged journalists to maintain their watchdog role by holding leaders accountable.

The message on the recognition card praised Imasuen for his “unwavering dedication to legislative excellence,” noting that his advocacy for good governance and the rights of his constituents is a “testament to his integrity, leadership, and patriotism.”

The Forum described the senator as “a voice of reason and progress in the Senate,” whose service continues to inspire a new generation of public servants.

The brief ceremony concluded with warm wishes for the senator’s continued strength, wisdom, and success in the coming year.
