Etche Nation Applauds George Nwaeke, Endorses State Of Emergency In Rivers

The Etche Ethnic Nationality Forum, the apex socio/political organization in Etche land has warned against attack on immediate past Head of Service of Rivers State, Dr. George Nwaeke.

The Forum in a press statement jointly signed by its Chairman and Secretary, Nwanyanwu Kingsley Chioma, PhD and Hon. Bestman Azonwu Thursday said “Our attention has been drawn to the tissues of lies perpetrated by a faceless group masquerading in the name of Etche Simplify Movement trying to cast aspersions on the person Dr. George Nwaeke.

“For the avoidance of doubt, Dr. George Nwaeke a bastion of sterling and exemplary leadership in the civil service. Dr. George Nwaeke is a proud son of Etche Nation who rose from the position of a Lecturer, Accountant, Sole Administrator of Abua/Odual LGA, Permanent Secretary and Head of Service of Rivers State. In all his years of service, Dr. George Nwaeke displayed exemplary service and integrity.

“We frown at the Leaders of Etche Simplified Movement for insulting the immediate past Head of Service, Dr. George Nwaeke. The Simplified Movement are a team of never-do-well politicians who have lost touch with reality because ordinarily, they were expected to have commended Dr. George Nwaeke for his boldness in exposing the ugly and corrupt dealings within the Fubara led-administration.

“Etche Simplified Movement can best be described as a group of political interlopers and busybodies who made a press conference just to massage the already battered ego of the suspended governor.

According to the group, “As the highest decision making organization in Etche land, irrespective of political affiliation, declares that Dr. George Nwaeke represents the true spirit of an Etche man, who is bold to speak truth to power no matter whose ox is gored. We admonish other true sons and daughters of Etche land to follow the foot prints of Dr. George Nwaeke in their career to rise to the pinnacle of their respective endeavours.

The Forum issued those it alleged denigrated the person of Dr. George Nwaeke  48 hours to apologize to the Etche Nation and Dr George Nwaeke or face punitive consequences from the Etche people.

The Forum endorsed the state of emergency declaration by President Tinubu, and urged Rivers people to support the Sole Administrator to restore peace and stability in Rivers State.
