Book Launch: Senator Allwell Onyesoh Commends Dr. Obi Fortune, Donates ₦2 Million

The lawmaker representing Rivers East Senatorial District and Chairman Senate Committee on Federal Character & Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator (Chief) Allwell Onyesoh, DSSRS, JP, FIBAKM, has commended one of his constituents, Dr. Obi Fortune, on the successful launch of his book, The Art of Succession. Senator Onyesoh gave this commendation during the official book launch and 50th birthday celebration of Dr. Fortune, held yesterday at the Camp Davies Event Centre, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Peter Oriri noted that although Senator Onyesoh was unavoidably absent due to other pressing engagements, he was ably represented by his Special Adviser on General Purpose, Dr. Kingsley Nwanyanwu. In his remarks, Dr. Nwanyanwu stated that Senator Onyesoh, having thoroughly reviewed the book as the Chief Launcher, described it as a reflection of the author’s life and a comprehensive exploration of various aspects of life, including politics and business. He emphasized that the book is a valuable resource for researchers and a reliable reference for diverse fields.

The senator encouraged attendees to not only study the book but also inspire others to write works that could serve as catalysts for positively shaping the lives of the younger generation.

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Prof. Sam Otamiri, Engr. Okey Amadi, High Chief Emma Nwabilor, and His Royal Majesty, Barr. Onyekachi Amoonwu, among others. They joined in celebrating the book launch and Dr. Fortune’s milestone birthday.

Senator Onyesoh further demonstrated his support for the initiative by officially launching the book with a donation of ₦2 million.
