Oche Moves to Reposition Benue PCC, Holds Maiden Mail Opening Session

The Honourable Federal Commissioner in charge of the Public Complaints Commission, James Ogaba Oche has said he will do everything humanly possible to reposition the Benue State Office of the Commission for greatness. He has equally charged staff of the commission to live up to their expectations.

In a statement signed by Orhemba, Akura Charles the Commission’s Head of Information and Publicity, Mr. Oche stated this recently during his maiden mail opening session sequel to his assumption of leadership of the Benue State Office of the commission on 2nd October, 2024. During the mail opening session, mails on both new and old complaints were accessed with a view to enhancing resolution of the complaints within reasonble time.

Now known as the “Capacity Federal Commissioner” Oche promised that he would provide necessary resources to have the exercise more often and consistent so as to hasten timely resolution of complaints.

Reacting on complaints that have not been resolved quickly because of poor cooperation from recalcitrant respondents, the PCC boss vowed that he would leave no stone unturned to ensure that such respondents are referred to the Enforcement Unit of the Commission for prosecution. He vowed that the scale of justice would be balanced by the weight of truth.

Oche also promised to intervene in various crises bedeviling Benue State at various levels, with the aim of resolving the crises. This, he promised, to execute through interacting with necessary stakeholders at various levels of the State and initiating proactively systemic investigation into various aspects of the crises.

In his drive to take the Commission to higher heights, he expressed his determination to continue his Inter-agency collaboration, through courtesy visits, with relevant authorities in the State. Relatedly, he charged area officers of the Commission in all the local governments in the State to adopt the Inter-agency collaboration at their levels to enhance quick resolution of complaints. Another measure Hon. Oche adopted in the meeting was restructuring of the Commission in the state by ensuring that each staff member would be placed in their right position for optimal productivity.

The Director of Investigation, Justin-Chuwang all the management staffs , assured the Hon. Commissioner of their total support to ensure the success of the meeting.
