The Ado Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Engr. Sunny Oche has intervened in the recent clash among youths in Ugbenyim, Izzi Community of Ado Local Government Area in a proactive move to stop what could have resulted in loss of lives.
According to a statement issued by Samson Otokpa,
Chief Press Secretary to Ado Local Government Council Chairman noted that the unrest erupted on the 29th of October, 2024 over a leadership tussle among members of their Youth Association, which has left many of the youths wounded and properties destroyed.
Recognizing the potential for escalation and to restore peace and harmony in the warring community, the Council Boss quickly mobilized the Army and the Police to the area to restore peace and free those held hostage.
Engr. Sunny Oche has always emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration, urging the young people to channel their energies into productive activities that will benefit the community and Ado Local Government area by extension.
The Chairman has pledged his administration’s commitment to securing lives and properties, urging all Ado residents to live in peace with each other and to those causing trouble, he has asked them to desist from such acts and be repentant otherwise, the long arm of the law will catch up with them.
