Ambassador Cynthia Edudje to Keynote “Top 50 Most Industrious Women in Africa” Awards in Abuja

Ahead of the prestigious “Top 50 Most Industrious Women in Africa” awards, Ambassador Cynthia Ejiroghene Edudje has been announced as the keynote speaker for this year’s event, which is set to recognize and celebrate rising African women leaders who have made significant contributions in various sectors. The awards ceremony, now in its third edition, will take place on November 16, 2024, at the Sandralia Hotel in Jabi, Abuja, Nigeria.

The announcement was made by the Project Director, Ambassador Abraham Lawal, in a statement released to Naijavoicenews on Sunday. Lawal emphasized that the event is one of the most anticipated African gatherings, spotlighting visionary changemakers and influential women from across the continent. “This year we will celebrate women who have excelled in diverse fields of life, and all plans are in place to host attendees from across the Africa continent,” he said.

Ambassador Cynthia Edudje, a trailblazer in her own right, will headline the event. She is the Managing Director of Kumcyn Global Consultancy Ltd and the President and Founder of the International Women Federation of Commerce and Industry Nigeria (IWFCI Nigeria). Her influence extends to her role as an Ambassador for the African Union Project 2063, where she advocates for the continent’s long-term strategic vision.

Edudje’s career is distinguished by her wide-ranging experience in leadership, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy. She has participated in numerous trade missions and business-to-business engagements in multiple countries, promoting economic growth and gender equality. As a former television presenter and host for Peoples TV, she is well-versed in public communication and has a deep understanding of media’s role in shaping public opinion.

In addition to her hands-on work, Ambassador Edudje holds various leadership and management qualifications from prestigious institutions, including Bogazici University in Istanbul and the Institute of Corporate Administration. She has also facilitated leadership, management, finance, and technology conferences and training both in Nigeria and abroad, drawing participants from Nigerian universities and beyond.

This year’s awards ceremony, themed “The African Women in Leadership,” is sponsored by the Labril Outreach Foundation, a key sponsor that shares a commitment to advancing the role of African women. The event will begin at 4:00 PM and will serve as a platform to honor women who continue to break barriers and lead with integrity across the continent.
