The Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin has bagged Gboko Traditional Council honour as a Special Guest and Friend of the Traditional Council amidst the 48th birthday celebration of the Speaker of Benue State House of Assembly, Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh ( Atonko U Mbatiav) on Wednesday at Mbatiav.
His Highness, Chief Sir Gabriel Shosum, KSJi, KSS while decorating him with the Tiv artistic ager (traditional clothing) describes him, Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin as a special visitor and a true friend of the traditional council whose relationship with their son has added value to the Tiv people.
Adebo in his good will message appreciated the Traditional Council for the honour, enjoins the celebrant, Hon. Hyacinth Dajoh not to relent in his commitment and dedication to legislation that will develop the state and empower his constituents while he appeals to Gov. Alia to keep supporting the legislature in the state.
Responding to journalists in an interview on the present economic situation , Rt. Hon. Adebo while assuring Nigerians of a better days ahead enjoins government at all levels to work harder on ameliorating the economic hardship being experienced by citizens.
Earlier, the celebrant, Speaker Benue State House of Assembly, Hon. Hycienth Aondona Dajoh who marks his 48th birthday and 1 year in office both as an honourable member, representing Gboko West and Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly acknowledges God and appreciates the people of Gboko West who gave him their mandate to represent them in the state assembly.
He noted “Dear constituents, be informed that any one that is for Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, I am sincerely and fraternally for such person.Any one against Rev. Fr. Alia is also against me and I am genuinely against such person…”
The Speaker who 1st year in office has been eventful with effective and transformative representation, have since his inauguration on the 5th June, 2023 which coincided with his birthday continue to pay attention to the yearning and aspirations of his constituents in particular and the good people of Benue state as a whole.
Amongst other things that has endeared Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh to his people are his prompt intervention to the needs of his constituents.
Hon. Dajoh within his one year in office has built and handover four (4) district halls to Traditional Council, done a comprehensive renovation of Grade 1 Area Court, built a multipurpose science laboratory at Government Secondary School – Ikpa, built and hand over children’s ward at NKST Primary Health Centre Ikpa.
Hon. Dajoh has also dishes out scholarship to hundred of indigent students to study across the country from undergraduate, postgraduates and others, distribution of over Ten Thousand (10,000) exercise books to primary pupils, medical outreaches within his Gboko West Constancy.
On ground and distributed during the 48th birthday celebration and one year in office are 10 motor cycles, 20 grinding machine, over 300 ForceUp Glyphosate, 385 spraying machine, maize seedlings, chemical sprayer pumps, fertilizers and commissioning of school hall he built for St. Patrick Secondary School, Akpagher, Mbatiav, Gboko LGA, Benue State.
Earlier, the Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor of Benue State, Hon. Paul Biam, delivered in a keynote address lauds Dajoh’s performance, stating that it has surpassed that of all previous speakers in the state.hails his character traits and commitment to the empowerment of his constituents and the development of Benue State as a whole. Urges the people to continue to support the gov. in his quest to deliver dividends of democracy to people, describes the governor as a performing governor.
The Deputy Governor, Dr. Sam Ode, mni who represents the Governor, hails Hon. Dajoh giant strides and pledges that the government would continue to work in the best interest of the masses who voted overwhelmingly for their administration
